The Hebrew prophets’ words are now being fulfilled regarding the regathering of the Jewish people from the nations back to Israel, their divinely given homeland. The word describing this regathering and immigration is AliYAH, which is a Hebrew expression meaning “to go up, to ascend.” There is a parallel regathering in the spiritual realm as His Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) is wooing a remnant to make spiritual AliYAH, to return to the pure worship of YAHveh, and ascend into His glorious presence, as in days of old. The prophet Joel proclaims: “whoever calls on the name of the lord Will be delivered, …” (Joel 2:32). Proverbs asks a vital question that is foundational to this book: “Who has ascended into heaven and descended? … Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son’s name? Surely you know!” (Pr 30:4). Do you know? Is the Creator’s name God or Lord? Perhaps Jehovah? Most world religions have an object of worship that they call Lord or God; however, these are titles, not proper names. The noun god or God can be defined as anything that is worshiped by men as a deity, and lord or Lord as one who has power and authority from headship or leadership. The dictionary defines God as “… any of various beings conceived of as supernatural, immortal and having special powers over the lives and affairs of people and the course of nature; deity, especially a male deity.”

Multitudes from innumerable religions call their deity(s) by the common title God. We must ask then, who is their “God” and “Lord”? The more important question is “What is the Name of YOUR God—the one you call Lord?” The Creator of heaven and earth has an incomparable and sacred name, which He will not share with other gods—for He will give His glory to no other (see Isa 42:8). His name throughout the Scriptures is called holy and exalted. In addition, the Almighty son's original name Yahshua (Jesus) has powerful and holy significance. Accordingly, this book will uncover the hidden truths behind the real name of both our Elohim (Yahveh Almighty) and our Savior (Yahshua the Messiah). There is much that is YAHveh is due and glory is forever due to His name. In Revelation 4:8-11, we read about the winged creatures that, “…day and night they do not cease to say, ‘Holy, holy, holy [Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh] is YAHveh Elohim Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come. And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, casting their crowns before the throne, saying, ‘Worthy are You, our Lord and our Elohim, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.’” The elders threw themselves prostrate before the Holy One, and every fiber of their being was giving Him praise, honor, and glory. We are to join in with them now if we are to be part of this eternally. Bring glory to His name. Bring honor to His name. As the Book of Psalms said, “All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord [Adonai], and they shall glorify Your name. …Teach me Your way, O YAHveh; I will walk in Your truth [I will walk in obedience]; unite my heart to fear Your name. I will give thanks to You, O Adonai my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever” (Psalm 86:9,11-12). Dive into the powerful name of Yahveh most High with this powerful devotion on his holy, awesome, and divine name!

How often do you turn up your nose at someone? How often do you judge before you allow the love of YAHshua to even let you know how much He wants to touch the soul He puts in your path? How often is His love blocked through you because you are not willing to touch the leper, so to speak?YAHshua has come to seek and to save the lost. He has come for the sick. He has come for the demon-possessed. He has come for the blind, the deaf, and the spiritually dead. That is His love. Do you want that love to flow in and through you that you might know the abundant life that He has promised? You will never know YAHshua in His fullest until you allow that love, that saved you from eternal damnation, to be magnified in and through you that others might live. This is the highest call we have. Look for opportunities to reach out to the unlovely to bring the love of YAHshua to all those who are perishing for the lack of knowledge of His love and salvation.

A problem that besets us as human beings is that we love other people’s approval. We are clothed in self-consciousness rather than YAHveh-consciousness and we are not willing to put our flesh aside and risk becoming foolish in the sight of other people for Messiah’s sake. This is completely contrary to the call on our lives. As Shaul (Paul) says, “We are to become fools for Messiah’s sake.” YAHshua said that we cannot please YAHveh and people, and the love of this world is enmity toward YAHveh. He goes on to say that whatever we do in word and deed, we must do for the glory of YAHveh. John the Baptist said that YAHshua’s axe is laid at the base of every tree that is not bearing good fruit for His kingdom. The greatest fruit we can bear is souls being touched, transformed, and saved because of our obedience. We are to be ambassadors of reconciliation who go forth with the great commission of making disciples of all people, teaching them to walk in holiness out of obedience to YAHveh’s commands. Let this devotional help you follow Yahshua while loving others more than yourself and bringing many to salvation.

YAHveh has a remnant He has called out through the power of the blood that was shed on behalf of the people who would hearken to His cry to be holy because He is holy. The remnant has been called out to be brought into the eternal Promised Land. But the pilgrimage is a wilderness experience, and He is weeding out those who will defame His glory; those who will not keep their hearts wholeheartedly set and satisfied in His provisions. YAHveh did not bring Israel into the Promised Land until the remnant was purified and those who rebelled had died in the wilderness—because YAHveh cannot dwell in the midst of a rebellious people. When YAHveh calls us to obedience, we can argue with Him, we can twist and turn it a little like Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden, but we reap destruction. We do not reap the benefit of YAHveh’s promised blessings when we disobey Him. It is very important to listen, to pay close attention to what YAHveh is saying—and do it His way, not ours. We read in 1 Corinthians 10:11 all that happened to Israel—their grumbling, lust, murmuring, complaining, and destructions—are for us to learn from: “Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” We are to learn from their example and not do the same thing. This should put the fear of YAHveh in all of us, causing us to know that apart from YAHveh it is impossible for us to subdue our flesh and walk in wholehearted obedience. indeed, now is the time to be holy as Yahveh is holy. Let this devotional help you on this holy, separate pilgrimage as Yahveh is calling you out of the darkness and into His wonderful, redemptive light.

YAHveh wants us to know what it means to be “righteous.” It has become a religious term, but what does it mean to be righteous in YAHveh’s sight, who is the Righteous One? “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness…” (Matthew 5:6). Do you want righteousness? Do you even know what righteousness is in order to want it? Or is it enough to have that little comfort zone made by people and the prince of this world, who created a religious system that contends with the truth of YAHveh? Many sit smugly and complacently in their religious comfort zone, not really knowing what righteousness is. They are deceived to think that they are right with YAHveh when they are not, because they don’t know what pleases Him. Therefore, they are at odds with Him. There is no place to run but to YAHveh when harm and destruction are going to come upon this earth. We will not be welcomed into His presence if we are not walking according to His ways as is pleasing in His sight. “Behold, the hand of YAHveh is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and YAHveh, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2). So it is time to get all those things out of the way, because we are going to need an open channel between the Most High and we lowly, little, redeemed people who are truly redeemed, not just in our minds, but our names are written, engraved, inscribed in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We will never be blotted out because we love, seek, and serve Him with all of our hearts, knowing nothing short will do. Indeed, Yahveh is righteous and He loves righteousness. Let this devotional help you comprehend what it means to be righteous, learning to live holy to Yahveh.

We must “Be wise, prepared, waiting, and keep watch.” These are key words and warnings from the mouths of His prophets. They are to be like a shofar sounding in the ears of those who are asleep so that they might hear the word of YAHveh. Not only does He sound a shofar to wake us up, but He calls us with the Great Commission to speak truth, “to turn…the disobedient to the attitude [wisdom] of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for YAHveh” (Luke 1:17).“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:36-39).

Indeed, we have a double-duty commission: to work out our own salvation by being prepared and ready, pure and spotless, and to tell others by sounding the truth in their ear. We can’t do it as hypocrites who walk according to the flesh and then speak the words of YAHveh. No one would want to listen, and it would not make much of an impression if they did. We are His appointed instruments, His chosen ambassadors to beseech the world, to beseech those in our lives to be reconciled to the Holy One. But first He beseeches us to be reconciled to Him in righteousness. The key phrases that YAHveh accentuates are going to move you, by His Spirit, out of harm’s way. He wants to unshackle you and break chains, strongholds, the love of this world, the pride of life, and the lust of the flesh. He will set you free if you don’t resist Him. This is a process, because there are many shackles that beset everyone, but He prepares you to be free. Let this devotional help you in this life-changing process of becoming ready, waiting, and wise!

The word of YAHveh tells us that we are to try and fathom the depths and the height and the expansiveness of His love for us that was expressed through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son. We must never take lightly such a great salvation. It is He who will purify our hearts, that we might have the fullest and richest inheritance of any people on this earth into eternity. May the blood that poured out on our behalf continue to sanctify us, as His Word sanctifies us. We lift up the entirety of His precious word as one book. Just as we, Jew and non-Jew, together make “one new humanity,” so does the Old Covenant and the New together make one Word, YAHshua Himself, the Living Word. May His Ruach HaKodesh, His Spirit that separates, open our ears that we might hear, and our hearts and minds that we might perceive what He is saying at this late hour. Once you take up your cross and follow Him, you will become a bondservant to YAHshua. Your life is not your own, your thoughts are not your own, your purposes do not line up to what you used to think, and your words are guaranteed to scare you if you think you need the love of people, for they are guaranteed to be swords that divide. We are the salt and the light, and we must bring this truth and love to others. YAHshua is the great Shepherd; He will feed His sheep with fodder from heaven that will strengthen them in their innermost spirits. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS DEFINE SIN

Without the Ten Commandments there would be no distinction between a heathen and one who is part of the commonwealth of Israel who was YAHveh’s chosen possession. Israel was to be a witness to the world that YAHveh is the one true living Elohim (God) by the fact that He was with them and gave them such glorious Commandments to live by. The Commandments are what define sin and until the Commandments were given there was no knowledge of what YAHveh’s plumb line of righteousness was. When YAHveh, in mercy, came down to earth at Mount Sinai, He manifested His glory to Israel. He gave them the Ten Commandments, statutes and laws, by which to live as children of the Most High King of the universe who created heaven and earth. YAHveh became the Holy One of Israel, and Israel was betrothed to her God at Mount Sinai. Israel’s part in that betrothal: “All that YAHveh has spoken we will do!” (Exodus 19:8). When Israel said she would obey everything YAHveh had said, He proclaimed to her the blessings for obedience and the curses for disobedience (Deuteronomy Chapters 26 and 27). Israel was to be His witnesses to the earth, bringing the reality of the Ten Commandments lived in and through their humble, obedient hearts that were to be circumcised to YAHveh. Circumcision of the heart and flesh was required for obedience to be reflected in their behavior. Then others could see their blessings and desire to live in the way YAHveh had shown Israel.

THE HOLY FEAST DAYS PIVOT AROUND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

YAHveh also gave Holy Feast Days to Israel so that her sins would not continually separate her from Him (see Leviticus 23). His heart was to redeem them to be separated to Him. The Holy Days pivot around the Ten Commandments, these were appointed times to meet with Him that would help them to walk by His spirit’s leading in these Commandments. The holy feasts were instituted as divine appointments by which Israel would focus on their sin nature and on a sacrifice of blood to cover their sins. YAHveh continues to work through a heart of love wanting to redeem us from “the wages of sin which is death” (Romans 6:23). This was all pointing to the ultimate sacrifice of YAHshua “the Lamb of God who would take away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29).

The divinely appointed times, the feast days, pivot around the blood on the altar of sacrifice—on the mercy seat, for the forgiveness of sin and sin points us back to the Commandments. Therefore every feast is exalting the Commandments of YAHveh, exalting our Lamb who came and died because we can’t uphold the Commandments without His help. They are inextricably linked. You can’t separate the feasts from the Commandments and you cannot separate the Lamb of God who is the ultimate fulfillment of the holy temple, priesthood, and the sacrificial system’s substitutionary sacrifice for our sin nature.

There would be no feasts if it was not for the Ten Commandments and the penalty of sin for not upholding them and there would be no need of Messiah. The Ten Commandments point us to Him and YAHshua the schoolmaster points us to the truth so we can walk in a way worthy of everything that He has taught us to be. “Not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:6) This book unlocks truths from Yahveh's divine Ten Commandments to redefine the true meaning and fulfillment of the holy Feasts of Israel.

King Josiah is one of the few kings in the Bible who did what was right in YAHveh’s eyes. It wasn’t from learning, for the book of the Torah—the five books of Moses—had not yet been found. Instead, it was in his heart to do right by first tearing down all the idols in the land. Josiah’s heart was circumcised to YAHveh; he did not turn to the right or the left because he was on a mission. Every abominable thing, every idol, everything that he instinctively knew was a grief to the Almighty, Josiah demolished. Josiah was being lead by the Spirit of Truth to seek the Elohim of his fathers. He was being wooed and he realized that the pagan and worldly idols were obstacles on his course. His heart was passionate; he wanted YAHveh more than anything. The word says, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13) and “…He is a rewarder of those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Indeed, YAHveh is now drawing a remnant because of what is in their hearts; they are not learning it from a pulpit, they are learning from the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) Himself.

Overcoming idolatry is ultimately a heart issue. With our hearts circumcised, we will love YAHveh with all of our hearts, all of our souls, all of our minds, and all of our strength, that we might live. We will obey Him because we love Him; a circumcised heart is tender to YAHveh. It is time for little idols, medium idols, and giant idols to be smashed in our lives. YAHveh is going to ultimately purge this land. Josiah is foreshadowing what YAHshua is going to do to this world. Everything is going to come down, be smashed, demolished, and destroyed. He will have a purged new heaven and new earth, a home of righteousness. The ones who will have a home of righteousness are the ones who start now overcoming worldly idols. Like Josiah, they search the land of their lives, of their hearts. They remove what YAHveh points out as idols and they demolish them, willingly.

YAHveh searches to and fro for a heart like Josiah’s. Wisdom comes from above and the only way to recognize it is to rid our own lives from idols. Temptations, the things we entertain in our minds, can come in little packages. If we do not get rid of them, they grow and grow until they take over, until they blind us. We become unable to see YAHshua behind the idols. We can remember Him, we can talk about Him, we can refer to Him, we can give Him lip service, but there is an idol, a stronghold, between YAHshua and us. It is best to knock it down while it is small before it grows so big that it becomes encompassing. Let this devotional lead you in smashing all forms of idols that would keep you from righteousness and blessings from the Almighty.

YAHveh is saying to us, “Go up. Come up. Come up higher.” He wants us to see certain things; and in order to see more, we have to go up. The word “aliYAH,” which is a common word among the Jews, is used when the Israelites were returning to the land of Israel. It means to ascend, go up to YAHveh. When we obey what His instructions are, we are literally going up to see what He has to tell us. Our obedience brings us into His presence so that He can show us more of Himself, more of ourselves, and more of the enemy’s work. He will give us a strategy in the midst of His glory. He will provide a fearlessness and courageousness that will empower us—and we will be overcomers for YAHshua. During the forty year exodus out of Egypt, Israel was in a wilderness. YAHveh wanted them to go up so that they could see that He, who had done mighty things on their behalf, was about to do mighty things again and to bring them into the Promised Land. We have been in a wilderness and He wants us to reflect. We have heard His voice to come out of Egypt, and to come out of the world, to come out of the religious system that is imbibed with traditions. He says, “Come up - come up higher!”

We are to be part of the gigantic fruit that comprises the small remnant throughout the world. YAHveh has set His remnant aside. They are a people for His glory, a treasured possession, a holy nation, a royal priesthood, and a colossal fruit that He made in a land of giants. The giants are there but YAHveh says, “Go up, go up and see what is coming back. Look at the fruit and remember what I have done in the past.” When you walk on this highway of holiness, fulfilling the promise of entering the eternal Promised Land in YAHveh’s presence, you are insured a very treacherous walk. You are also insured that you will be the recipient of a land flowing with milk and honey. You will be in the presence of the One who has redeemed us with His mighty outstretched arm through the power of the blood of the Passover Lamb. HalleluYAH! We were in a wilderness. But He said, “Come out, come out. I am making a way for you to continue on this journey that I have established before you. I go before you and I am your rear guard to bring you into the land flowing with milk and honey.” As such, let this devotional help you come up higher so that you might reap blessed and gigantic fruit.
