Get Dressed in Holiness
This teaching is available in both audio and written formats. Yahshua (Jesus) proclaimed in the book of Revelation that His redeemed must be appropriately dressed in righteousness, to be included in the ultimate heavenly celebration, The Wedding Supper of the Lamb. (Revelation 19:6-9) To listen to audio click below.
“The King sent out His servants saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; … everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.” ’ But they paid no attention and went their way, one to his own farm, another to his business, and the rest seized his servants and mistreated them and killed them””
Are you dressed in fine white linen; holy, priestly, bridal garments, the holy attire that is befitting the King of kings? It is written, “Holiness befits Your house, O Yahveh, forevermore.” Holiness is the garment that can only come from the blood of Yahshua (Jesus) cleansing our hearts of repentant sin and adorning us in His righteousness. We need to understand this in order to discern whether we are clothed in righteous garments or if we are wearing foreign garments that are unacceptable in the sight of our Holy God and King. The Almighty says, “I will punish … all who clothe themselves with foreign garments.” (Zephaniah 1:8) Our Savior also shared a parable to magnify this saying; “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. And he sent out his servants to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come. Again he sent out other servants saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; … everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.” ’ But they paid no attention and went their way, one to his own farm, another to his business, and the rest seized his servants and mistreated them and killed them … he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast.’ … “But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes, and he *said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22:1-6, 8-14) There will be many standing speechless at the judgment seat hearing those same words, because only a few a small remnant will count the cost to follow Yahshua (Jesus). Regarding the faithful remnant we read, “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” (Revelation19:7-8) These acts were gifts given to them by which to serve Him and procure the wedding garments. So only the ones who serve Him are going to be finely dressed as the bride for the Bridegroom. The others, who never served Him will be like those who came in without their proper garments. They served themselves, they loved the world, and served the things that were temporal instead of buying fine white linen through the righteous acts of serving, loving, and worshipping their God and Savior.
“Anytime we fit in with the world we have foreign garments on like someone going to a masquerade so we can fit in to their party plans and agendas””
When we only keep Yahshua’s garments of fine white linen on we will disarm and unnerve them. Satan reacts because this exposes his darkness and basically puts a damper on their fun and friendship with the world that they consider they are entitled to. We read in James this stern admonition, “You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (James 4:4) We are to be set apart as holy vessels, instruments to be used only for holy and noble purposes. “Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:21) As “new creations old things [of the flesh and the world] are gone.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) We are to beseech others to distinguish between the holy and the common and to be reconciled to Yahveh, forsaking everything to be a true disciple that follows Messiah. (see Ezekiel 22:26, Matthew 16:24-26) We are being sent as ambassadors bringing the message of truth, light, deliverance, and instruction to block people on their reckless paths and anything short of this is going to be a masquerade. We will have our foreign garments on so we can fit in and be part of the crowd. Yahshua spoke only truth to set the captives free and He came to destroy the works of the evil one, that same exact call continues in and through us. (1 John 3:8) Nothing less.
Paul said, “When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11) Some things are beneficial and other things are not. (see 1 Corinthians 10:23) As children we have to spiritually grow up, putting away the childish things, which are the toys and the fun of having friendship with this world. Our Father is disciplining His children who would prefer to be outside playing rather than coming inside to seek, worship, and pray for His will to be done in and through them. Yahveh is adamantly saying, “NO! NO! NO!” to that which seems fine and acceptable, but yet is a detriment to us. As Apostle Paul said, “Whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Messiah [Christ]. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Messiah Yahshua [Jesus] my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Messiah.” (Philippians 3:7-8)
“Yahshua (Jesus) does not want us to miss heaven and end up with those who never professed Him screaming, “Oh No! Oh No!” for eternity””
The Almighty says, “Choose you this day My way, your way, or the world’s way." Our Savior says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) His way is the only way and we must learn to humbly and lovingly obey His ways or we are nothing but casual lip servers that deserve the penalty of disobedience. Yahshua continually spoke to the different churches in Revelation admonishing them to repent and to overcome the flesh, the world, and the enemy. His Spirit, at this late hour, is crying out to our flesh, “No! No! NO!” to every foreign, fleshy, worldly way. He is trying to keep us from the deceptions that will pull us so far away from our Savior making us unrecognizable. Yahshua (Jesus) does not want us to miss heaven and end up with those who never professed Him screaming, “Oh No! Oh No!” for eternity. We cannot ignore the truth falsely thinking Yahveh is just like we are. As it is written, "These things you have done and I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.” (Psalm 50:21) To repeat, without holiness and holy attire through the cleansing blood of Yahshua (Jesus) we will never see Him in His Kingdom. It is written, “the slave who knew his master's will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes.” (Luke 12:47) Our Savior speaks to all the rebellious of heart, “but bring here those enemies of mine who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.” (Luke 19:27)
“Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) blood is on the altar for the purification and cleansing of all unrighteousness to remove our foreign tattered masquerading garments. He will clothe us in the fine white linen of His righteousness””
In the book of Amos the prophet proclaimed, “A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Sovereign Yahveh (through Yahshua) has spoken! Who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:8) May the fear of Yahveh, leading to wisdom and understanding, come forth upon a humbly repentant remnant, clothed in righteous fine white linen, who have received the fruit of wisdom to distinguish and extract the precious and the holy from the worthless and the common. (Proverbs 9:10, Jeremiah 15:19) “We all fall so short of His glory” but that is no justification for continuing on our reckless path in this world and it’s erroneous religious “broad path that leads to destruction.” (Romans 3:23, Matthew 7:13) May the fear of Yahveh wake us up to “work out our salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12) Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) blood is on the altar for the purification and cleansing of all unrighteousness to remove our foreign tattered masquerading garments. He will clothe us in the fine white linen of His righteousness; these are priestly garments that make us acceptable and holy to come into His holy sanctuary now and forever bearing His identity. Our true identity is in Yahshua. May we learn to walk as He walked, speak as He spoke, do as He did, and never compromise His Father’s Commandments, because He never did. To the very end our Savior said, “Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven: “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.” (John 12:28) The reality is, we the redeemed righteous remnant are the instruments through which He will, by His Spirit, continue His compelling heart's desire to glorify His Father in heaven and on earth. Halleluyah! We must “be dressed and ready for service” because “the Master will come on a day we do not expect Him.” (see Luke 12:35, 46)
