Submit Yourself to YAHveh

Submit Yourself to YAHveh

James 4:6-7

YAHveh gives us power from His Spirit to overcome our fleshly inclinations that are stimulated by the devil himself. James 4:6-7 says, “He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “YAHveh is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit therefore to YAHveh. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (Being proud and humble applies to all of our flesh; flesh is flesh, spirit is spirit, they war.)

First, you have to submit yourself to YAHveh (the LORD) because you are not going to be able to resist the devil on your own. You cannot submit yourself to YAHveh until you confess your sins that block you from being received into His presence. You want to keep a clean slate as best as you can, so you can stay close to Him; because the devil is like a roaring lion and he is always stalking you.

We shouldn’t waste precious time to take jaunts into civilian life and then have to go through the process over and over again to get back in good stead with YAHveh. Remember, the enemy has a grip on our being, mangling us while we are frantically trying to confess our sins and get covered in the blood. HalleluYAH, the blood is on the altar, but don’t keep sinning.

“…Go. From now on sin no more” (John 8:11). But if you do sin, don’t say you haven’t and call YAHveh a liar, says the apostle John. Acknowledge it, and “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Also, don’t keep testing Him; go and sin no more as you stay close to YAHveh and resist the manipulations of the evil one. We do not want to be putty in anyone’s hands but YAHveh’s (the LORD’s), as He makes us into vessels for holy and noble purposes.

After you submit yourself to YAHveh, resist the devil and he will flee from you!
