The Divine Courtship

The Divine Courtship

Yahshua (Jesus), I humbly ask that You bring me up higher and higher where I long to be, to see things as they are from Your perspective. I want to know the height, depth, and width of Your love, to be in the Spirit more and more. It is the passionate desire of my heart to be with You and to bear more and more glorious fruit for Your honor and glory. So I surrender all, You are my blessed Redeemer, my Bridegroom King. I want my heart and entire life to be focused on one reward, and that is You. While I am on this earth there is still a lot of weighty gravitational pulls on me, it is vital that I know how to repent and bring all and everything to You. Thank You that You will show me what is unholy, grievous, and weighty on my being, that keeps me from going up higher. Please deliver me and help me to overcome them. How I praise You that You will sever and throw into the sea all these mountains of earthly encumbrances that have to be overcome and covered with Your precious atoning blood. When You set me free, I will be free indeed! (John 8:36)

As I go higher with You, the air is truly rarified by Your Spirit and so fresh, invigorating, and fortifying. It infuses every fiber of my being down to my cells that compose my life blood. Everything is fortified in Your presence and I thank You. “In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11). I pray that I am ready to ascend and leave everything behind with Your help. Take it all, Yahshua (Jesus), remove it far away from me, so that I can keep my sights on You, who is “the glory and lifter of my head” (Psalm 3:3). Thank You that I have found the “pearl of exceedingly great price” and I have slowly but surely sold everything for You, to go through those pearly gates of Your home where Your Bride will dwell with You forever (Matthew 13:46, Revelation 19:7, 21:21).

I praise and thank You, truly in this time of courtship, “one day with You is worth a thousand anywhere else” (Psalm 84:10). Like a bird I fly to You, I cannot wait to get back to this open portal by which I can ascend quickly into Your presence. Thank You, “as the watchman longs for the dawn so my soul longs for You O Yahveh” (Psalm 130:6). I am homesick for You, but I praise and thank You that You are here with me, courting me, wooing me, drawing me with cords of loving kindness as I get to know You, my Bridegroom. The courtship is so necessary and I praise and thank You for it. My heart is filled with love for You.

Yahshua (Jesus) you are telling me to forsake everything to follow You, the beloved lover of my soul (Luke 14:33). Thank You, Your love is sweeter than anything, it is life. Thank You for embracing me with Your unfailing ever present bonds of love that can not be broken. No demons, nothing can separate me from the embrace of Your love, and I praise You and thank You for such an embrace (Romans 8:38-39). Oh Yahveh, may I never try and push You away to go my own way. May I never want to be separate from You because something inferior is attracting me and wooing me away from You. Forgive me for the times I do this Father. Forgive me for exchanging Your glorious presence for worthless worldly distractions that are as an idol, keeping my focus off You. This lowly and selfish flesh that I live in, I pray that I get it more and more under the control of Your Spirit, so that it will not keep me away from You, in name of Yahshua (Jesus).

Your Spirit in me is jealous for my spirit (James 4:5). May Your Holy Spirit and me, as Your bride, join together and put 10,000 demons to flight that would dare to keep us separated from You for one minute, much less an hour, day, week, or a month. As Your bride, may I begin to fight for those intimate prolonged stays in the Spirit in Your glorious presence, in the name of Yahshua (Jesus). Thank You Yahveh. Lead and guide me, I need Your heart and mind to know what pleases You according to Your will, not what seems right to me. I do not want to miss a beat or stumble in a dark place. Let me stay under the light, yoked to You forever. Amen.
