"If We Do Not Obey"

“If We Do Not Obey”

- Deuteronomy 28:15 -

Let us focus on the curses that will come upon a nation that has been given so much, including being entrusted with His Commandments. That goes for Israel and also the United States. Yahveh Almighty blessed His people Israel by sending them to the United States primarily as a refuge for his persecuted Jewish people, and with them came devoted believers. They did not want anything but the purity of the word of God, based on Judeo-Christian values, to permeate their new homeland and be the foundation upon which it was built. That is no longer.

The United States has compromised much of its God fearing History. The consequences have sadly tainted our loving Father’s blessings for us and other nations. The Holy One’s laws have been craftily and almost completely disseminated and mishandled by Satan himself who wants sovereign rulership over this world and its inhabitants. So in dealing with the curses, let’s not think about just individuals but also the nation of individuals.

“But it shall come about, if you do not obey Yahveh your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you” (Deuteronomy 28:15). The list goes on and on in Deuteronomy 28, but we are going to touch just a few dealing with this country. “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl” [People’s lives will be in danger because of the shortage of food and money to buy the little food there is] (Deuteronomy 28:17). “Cursed shall be the offspring of your body and the produce of your ground, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.” (Deuteronomy 28:18-19)

“Yahveh [the Lord] will send upon you curses, confusion, and rebuke, in all you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken Me [says the God of the universe]. Yahveh will make the pestilence cling to you until He has consumed you from the land…. Yahveh will smite you with consumption and…. The heaven which is over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you, iron. Yahveh will make the rain of your land powder and dust…. Yahveh shall cause you to be defeated before your enemies; … you will be an example of terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.” (Deuteronomy 28:20-25)

There is no escaping what is about to happen. Yahveh says in a time of mercy the inhabitants of the earth do not learn righteousness. In a time of peace and prosperity they learn idolatry. Judgment is soon to pour out on all nations that despise His word. Destruction that is described in Revelation 18 is a warning to all.
