Servants Doing His Bidding
Our Savior is calling us to be His servants: “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also” (John 15:20). “For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them” (John 13:15-17).
We are to live for our beloved Savior now. In living for Him we are co-laborers with Him, servants doing His bidding. He has commanded us over and over and over again to lay down our lives and to gather souls in these last hours, teaching them everything that He has taught us (see John 15:13, Matthew 12:30, 28:20).
John 14 says, “Yahshua (Jesus) answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. …so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me.” (John 14:23-24,31)
“My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. …This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. This I command you, that you love one another.” (John 15:8,12-17)
“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you will testify also…” (John 15:26-27). We must be obedient to follow Yahshua’s (Jesus’s) example. We must testify about the great and awesome salvation that has been given to us. Our Savior and Redeemer said, “the words I say to you are not just My own, rather it is the Father living in Me doing this work.” His words are to be spoken through us. We are going to be held accountable at the judgment seat for every idle word we speak. Every person to whom we have not spoken truth to—those Yahveh God has put before us as an open door, as fish to reel in—we will be held accountable for those souls.
