The Marriage Supper of the Lamb - Will You be There?

The foolish virgins were not ready, they were not waiting, they were not watchful and wise, and when the bridegroom came no one could help them, it was too late!”
— See Matthew 25:6-13

We are to learn from the example of the parable of the wise and foolish virgins, keeping in mind we fall in one category or the other. Yahshua (Jesus) said, “you also must be ready” (Matthew 24:44). The foolish virgins were not ready, they were not waiting, they were not watchful and wise, and when the bridegroom came no one could help them, it was too late! They did not have enough oil of the Spirit, which is Yahshua (Jesus) Himself Who is light filling their lamps. He came at an hour they did not expect, but the wise virgins “who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. Later the other virgins also came, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open up for us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly I say to you, I do not know you.’ Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour [when the bridegroom will come]” (Matthew 25:10-13).  Yahshua (Jesus) confirmed these sobering horrifying words again when speaking of entering the kingdom of heaven, “Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me …' (Matthew 7:21-23)

The great “marriage supper of the Lamb” will not include every professing believer symbolized by the parable of the ten virgins who think they are saved professing they love Him”
— Revelation 19:7-9

The great “marriage supper of the Lamb” will not include every professing believer symbolized by the parable of the ten virgins who think they are saved professing they love Him (Revelation 19:7-9). It will only include those who are filled with the oil of His Spirit, who have obediently denied their flesh, working out their salvation to be a holy bride who is ready, waiting, and wise. This righteous remnant is making the most of every opportunity to have their bridal garments, which are the righteous acts of the saints, made spotless through the denying and confessing of their sin continually covered and removed by the merciful sacrificial blood of the Lamb. These are the ones at the end of the Scripture who are saying, Maranatha – Maranatha, “Come Lord, Yahshua (Jesus)!” Come! (Revelation 22:20) They had taken to heart and obeyed their Beloved’s words, “everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life” (Matthew 19:29). The meaning of this is to lightly esteem everyone and everything compared to loving, obeying, and following Yahshua (Jesus) who is to be the first, utmost, and eternal love of our lives.

The five wise virgins followed Yahshua; the light of His presence filled their lives. The five foolish virgins walked in the darkness of their own understanding and the darkness of the things pertaining only to this world”
— See 1 John 1:5-7 & Ephesians 4:18

Yahshua (Jesus) said, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life” (John 8:12). The five wise virgins followed Yahshua; the light of His presence filled their lives. The five foolish virgins were not filled up with the light of Yahshua (Jesus) and they walked in the darkness of their own understanding and the darkness of the things pertaining only to this world. Our Savior was very adamant, He said, “Watch out that the light in you is not darkness” (Luke 11:35). This is added wisdom because the five foolish virgins, through their lip serving confession of faith, thought they were filled with the light of Yahshua (Jesus). But in reality they were filled with much darkness and when the time came they were unready, unprepared, and unrecognizable as His bride.

This is why Apostle Paul says, “For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Messiah I might present you as a pure virgin [undefiled by sin and the flesh’s desires for the world]. But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Messiah (Christ)” (2 Corinthians 11:2-3). We are to beware of the Enemy’s schemes and walk in the truth “working out our salvation’ while there is still time left (Philippians 2:12). We must be filled with the Spirit to be dressed as a bride ready for her bridegroom. Let us fix our whole lives on things above, eagerly waiting for the “blessed hope” with all other hopes, all other joys, all other preoccupations and focuses removed because Yahshua (Jesus) has become our all in all! (Titus 2:13)
