You Cannot Have Righteousness Without Faith

“Without faith it is impossible to please Yahveh, for he who comes to Him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). That is where faith plays its biggest role; we have to have faith to believe that our God and Savior exists. If we believe He exists, then we have to believe that every word He spoke is true. “Every word of Yahveh is tested … do not add to His words or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar” (Proverbs 30:5-6). We have to have enough wisdom to know the lying serpent will continue to say, “Did Yahveh God really say that?” (Genesis 3:1)

“By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith” (Hebrews 11:7). You cannot have righteousness without faith. It is faith that causes us to trust that every word that the Almighty speaks is worthy of our obedience. Faith comes through the power of His Spirit and the purification of His blood when we acknowledge that we have sinned and fallen short of His glory. We then can uphold His righteousness and become righteous in His sight. There is a tiny remnant out there that is building again.

In 1 Peter 3:20-21, Peter is talking about Noah, “…a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to Yahveh for a good conscience —through the resurrection of Yahshua Messiah [Jesus Christ].” We have to know we are doing what pleases Him and have that great peace with Him.

If we don’t have peace with Him now, that is an indication that we will not be entering the kingdom of the Prince of Peace. Only a few, our God and Savior is always pointing out, only a remnant, only a handful compared to the masses, will be saved (see Luke 13:23-24). The multitudes were judged. But Noah and a few in his family were saved because he did all that Yahveh commanded.
